Please discuss these requirements with your cleaner.
*Areas cleaned must be reachable by hand. We do not operate washing machines or dryers. We do not clean display areas with fragile trinkets and ornaments, electronics, nappy bins, pet waste, any kind of bio-hazard, external windows and any area outside of your home. Please do not request these tasks from any of our cleaners. Please do not supply your cleaner with a ladder or request them to use one. Mould removal is not included in any of our services.

Blinds lightly dusted (upon request), walls spot cleanedΒ (upon request), skirting boards wiped, architraves wiped, cobwebs removed, bathroom ceiling exhaust fans cleaned. These tasks will take additional time and they can only be completed if there is sufficient booking time. We are unable to deep clean blinds and walls. Please ensure you communicate these requirements if you wish to have them included.
*The client must supply a ladder with no more than 2 steps for the cleaning of bathroom ceiling exhaust fans or any other area that can’t be reached by hand (picture rails etc).
*We do not operate washing machines or dryers. We do not clean display areas with fragile trinkets and ornaments, electronics, nappy bins, pet waste, any kind of bio-hazard, light fittings, heating ducts, BBQs, external windows and any area outside of your home. Please do not request these tasks from any of our cleaners. Mould removal is not included in any of our services.

Absolutely not. There are no lock-in contracts.
The size and condition of your home will determine how many hours are required. There is no such thing as a typical home, or typical homeowner. Every home will have different areas that require cleaning, floor types, number of rooms, pets/no pets etc. Thatβs why we always suggest you guide our cleaners as to your priority areas. Services are hourly and the completion of each task is dependent on the total hours booked.
We donβt believe in βfixed priceβ quotes, as they are too rigid, rather, we will set an agreed upon hourly rate. This format allows the freedom to choose what, and where, we will clean, and enables you to always stay within your desired budget.
And if you need extra cleaning done, or require something special, you increase the number of hours β simple! Total hours booked equals total payment due.

Step one: You book us.
Step two: You instruct your cleaner on what needs to be done.
Step three: You sit back, or go for a coffee with a friend, while we complete the task.
Step four: You return to a gleaming home & pay the EXACT agreed amount determined by the hours you booked.
Everything is set out, clear and straightforward. We donβt charge hidden fees, or βadministrative chargesβ – we charge a flat, easy to understand, simple to calculate, hourly rate. Thatβs it. If you book one of our cleaners for 3-hours, you pay for 3-hours, if for 5, you pay for 5-hours. No mess, no fuss, no confusion.

Cleaning is usually carried out by one person.
Absolutely! If you book a Regular Clean, you will be assigned the same person you have come to know and trust. In the event your cleaner unable to attend, we will contact you to arrange temporary a replacement cleaner, with your approval.
Thatβs your choice, however itβs not necessary for you to be present when your cleaner arrives. If youβre not going to be home to let the cleaner in, you can make a prior arrangement for your cleaner to collect the house-key from a pre-determined place on your property. Many of our clients prefer to invest in a key combination safe. Itβs an ideal way to ensure your cleaner has access to your home, but no one else does. Itβs also our preferred, and recommend, key-access method.
When the job is completed, your cleaner will return the key back to its same location, or if preferred, your cleaner can also leave the key inside your home and lock the front door upon exiting.
At the time of your first booking, you may wish to take the opportunity to meet your cleaner and walk them through your home. You can also use this occasion to show them where your house key is to be left, on the days you will not be home.

If you need to change, or cancel your scheduled cleaning appointment please contact us as soon as practicable so that we can re-book your clean, and/or allocate you a suitable cleaner, for your new time spot.

If youβre unable to be home when the cleaner arrives, we have a procedure in place. Your cleaner will bring all the required cleaning products for your appointment, however, for hygiene purposes, your cleaner will use your vacuum and mop. Using your equipment is essential to prevent cross contamination. If you would like to read more about products and equipment please Click Here.
Payment is made directly to your cleaner, after completion of the service, and not to Inner Melbourne Maids, via cash or bank deposit.
For NDIS, Veteran Affairs, insurance and aged care recipients, your cleaner will invoice your provider for payment.
All our cleaners can provide a receipt for their cleaning services. If you would like a receipt after each clean, please advise your cleaner.
Yes. If for any reason you are unhappy with your cleaner, please contact us ASAP. After determining why your cleaner wasnβt suitable, we will assign you a better matched cleaner. Client satisfaction is the cornerstone of our business.
Every single one of our cleaners must pass a set of rigid selection criteria before being registered with us. Our lengthy selection and registration process begins with a pre-interview, quality and high standard of work confirmation check, procedures and protocols check, cleaning experience confirmation, character assessment and finally, they are police checked. You can rest assured all of our cleaners are trustworthy, reliable and experienced.
You will never be overcharged if your cleaner runs out of time. Your cleaner will only clean for the duration of hours that you have booked. All services are hourly and the completion of each task is dependent on the total hours booked. The total hours and appointment price is always confirmed with you during the booking process so there are never any surprises. Unless you agree to increase the hours of an appointment, the total appointment price will not change.

IMM initially started with one person, its founder, Paula Rod, who began cleaning homes for her clients based in Footscray. Paula's unparalleled attention to detail, and demand for excellence, coupled with her methodical, systematic approach to cleaning, resulted in the creation of a formula which delivered a consistently high standard of domestic home cleaning.
Within a short space of time, Paulaβs striking cleaning style had her clients talking; and sharing their appreciation. With clients recognising and acknowledging Paulaβs pride in her work, her extraordinary cleaning talents, and most noteworthy, her character, her popularity grew.
Word-of-mouth is great advertising, and, as her client base swelled, Paula could see she would need a Team. Ensuring her Team of ladies were as effective and committed to the task, Paula and her Team quickly became the βpreferred choice cleaning teamβ for a sizable community of inner-west Melbourne mothers.
With each new client came another recommendation. Expansion continued at an ever-increasing pace and was extending to Melbourneβs inner south east suburbs. Requests from new clients escalated, as did the expanding client radius around Melbourne. Paula was unsure how she and her small Team could maintain their standards.

The premise and principles of IMM were based on Paulaβs experience, tested protocols, and trusted operations, forged while running her Team of house cleaning professionals. The objective was simple: ensure each client will receive the same high-standard clean, every single time, as when she serviced each client herself. To achieve this objective Paula put together a code of ethics, a uniform duties inventory, and quality control benchmarks.
