- Vacuum Cleaner
- Mop & Mop Bucket
For hygiene purposes your cleaner will use your vac and mop. This practice prevents cross contamination by blocking new pathogens being introduced to your household. It is essential to have a good working vacuum cleaner and mop for optimal floor cleaning.
Tips & Recommendations
*The below are not requirements and serve as recommendations only.
Your cleaner will do their best with the vac & mop you provide, as long as it is in working condition.
Vacuum cleaner: A corded vacuum cleaner with good suction power is recommended. A cordless vacuum cleaner may not hold enough charge to complete the vacuuming required for your home. The vacuum cleaner should have clean filters and clean head attachments for it function properly. If you will be supplying your cleaner with a cordless vacuum cleaner please ensure it is fully charged before your cleaner arrives.
Mop Head: We don’t recommend sponge head, flat head or synthetic strip mop heads. The best option is still the traditional cotton string mop head, which has been around since the 1400’s. This type has more scrubbing power and is highly absorbent. Sabco brand is recommended. View Photo
Mop Handle: A Sabco aluminium mop handle is recommended. View Photo
Mop Bucket: We don’t recommend spin mop buckets, the most effective is a wringer mop bucket with a foot pedal and rollers, to squeeze the mop head. View Photo
